Profile of Candidate:

  • Ph.D. in structural biology, molecular biology, biochemistry or biophysics
  • Experience with protein production, biophysical and biochemical characterization
  • Experience with protein structural techniques (crystallography, NMR or cryoEM)
  • Willingness to learn new methods and emerging techniques
  • Ability to develop new concepts; goal-oriented and problem-solving skills
  • Good proficiency in English

Postdoctoral Position in Enzymology

We are looking for a postdoctoral researcher to conduct interdisciplinary research in the field of enzymology and protein engineering. We wish to understand the structure- function relationships of proteins and improve their functionalities for biotechnology and biomedicine. We study the mechanism of Alzheimer’s disease and develop novel drugs for acute stroke.

Job Description:

  • Study of molecular mechanisms of important biomedical problems
  • Construction of rationally designed mutants and/or libraries of proteins
  • Biophysical analysis of proteins using conventional and microfludic methods
