Rational bioprocess consolidation, scaling-up and downstream
WP5 will pursue the optimization of PFHA production by fully consolidated, engineered P. putida strains in bioreactors from cheap feedstocks (sugar, carboxylates and NaF) and, in parallel, will explore the determinants of metabolite and genomic stability to ensure long-term performance of our cell factories under industrial operating conditions. The final outcome of WP5 is a fully functional bioprocess for PFHA production and recovery at Technology Readiness Level (TRL) 5.
